ORDERING PROCESS
THE THOUGHT OF INVESTING YOUR MONEY INTO SOMETHING SO PRECIOUS ONLINE CAN BE INTIMIDATING FOR MANY OF OUR CUSTOMERS.
UNDERSTANDING HOW THE PROCESS WORKS CAN BE HELPFUL.
Please note: all of our designs are custom made one of a kind pieces. As a general guideline, wait times can be 6-8 weeks from the time we receive your precious inclusions.
Depending on the ring size, the design you would like to have made, and if any unpredicted circumstances and delays should arise on our supply chains, this process could take longer. We prefer to make your piece perfect and take our time, not rush through the process to ‘get the job done’ so we greatly appreciate your patience and understanding with the steps we must complete to create your precious keepsake.
PLACE YOUR ORDER
All orders are made here through the Keepsakes by Nicoleta website. We do not accept any Cash or EFT payments. When you select the item you would like to order, you will also be able to select the colour you wish for your keepsake. Once you have finalised your selections, you can pay for your order through the online checkout. There is a Notes section in the checkout, where you can let us know any extra information or special requests. You are also welcome to email me. if your information won’t fit in the space provided. You will receive an email confirmation of your order.
SEND YOUR INCLUSIONS
If you have ordered an item that I will craft using inclusions you send me, now is the time to send them in. My address is PO Box 1417, Baulkham Hills NSW 1755. I recommend sending your inclusions with tracking, via express or registered post with signature on delivery.
RING SIZING
If you ordered a ring, we will post you a small, adjustable ring sizer. It looks like a little tape measure that slips over your finger. Once you received your ring sizer, please measure the size of the finger you will wear your ring on, and email us. If you’re not sure of the best size, you’re welcome to send us a photo of the sizer on your finger, and we will work it out for you. You don’t need to return the ring sizer.
CRAFTING
Once we have received any inclusions and sizing information, your order will take approximately 6-8 weeks to finalise. Sometimes we send sneak peek photos before sending an order home. If you would prefer to keep your order a surprise until you receive, please let us know in the Notes at checkout when you order.
SENDING YOUR ORDER HOME
When your order is ready to send home, we will give the delivery details to Australia Post. You will receive an email with your tracking information and updates of your package while it is in transit. You will also receive an email from us, to let you know your order is complete.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS & WARRANTY
Take care of your jewellery and keepsakes and learn more about the services we offer.
Keepsakes by Nicoleta recommend removing jewellery, especially rings, during household chores (including gardening) and gym workout sessions. Please avoid contact with salt or chlorinated water, soap, cosmetic products, fragrances, hairsprays and other corrosive or solvent-based cleaning agents.
Substances such as chlorine may permanently damage or discolour your keepsake jewellery, especially at high temperatures.
Please avoid wearing your keepsake jewellery to the beach, swimming pool, hot tub/sauna/jacuzzi or while playing sports. This will protect it from damage. Ensure all stone settings are checked regularly to ensure stones are still securely set.
Precious metals and stones vary in their characteristics and handling needs. The following information outlines the specific care recommendations for your individual product.
Important – Do not use an ultrasonic bath or jewellery with precious resin or natural components such as pearls, mother-of-pearl, wood, leather or glass.
Storing your keepsake jewellery
When your jewellery is not worn, we recommend keeping it in the packaging provided (eg pouch or box), in a dry and dark place. Please note that excessive changes in temperature, light or humidity may cause undesired changes in the material. In regions with high humidity, it is recommended that desiccating crystals (eg silica gel) are placed with your jewelelry items.
All pendant necklaces from Keepsakes by Nicoleta should lie flat when unworn, to avoid any bending. In general, jewellery items should not be stacked on top of one another in a box, pouch or drawer.
Material-specific care instructions
Sterling silver
Tarnishing of sterling silver is a natural effect and cannot be fully avoided. Regular cleaning of silver jewellery with a silver polishing cloth is recommended.
Gold/platinum
To preserve the beauty of your gold or platinum jewellery, dust and dirt should be removed by wiping it off with a damp cloth. Carefully wipe the stones. Afterwards, dry your jewellery using a soft cloth. Keepsakes by Nicoleta recommend having your jewellery item serviced on a regular basis. We provide a professional cleaning and polishing service performed by one of our goldsmiths to recover the original brilliance and shine. Especially for gold jewellery, having it cleaned and polished every 12-18 months is recommended.
Pearls/Opals/Jewellery-Grade Resin
Keepsakes by Nicoleta recommend cleaning your item of jewellery adorned with pearls, opals or resin stones, with a damp cloth. Carefully wipe the stones. Afterwards, dry your jewellery using a soft cloth.
Jewellery-grade resin and Murano glass may develop fine cracks if knocked or dropped. Please do not use any strong chemical cleaning agents.
Diamonds
It is recommended that diamonds are handled with care to maintain the lifetime of their brilliance. Avoid contact with chemical products such as fragrances and detergents, as these substances may tarnish precious stones.
Precious/Semi Previous/Resin/Murano Glass Gemstones
All gemstones can be very sensitive and may change colour. If not treated properly. Gemstones should not be exposed to sunlight or a prolonged time as this may cause undesired changes in the material.
Leather
Leather is a natural material that is sensitive to the effects of light, humidity and water. To keep your leather items in perfect condition and prevent colour from fading. Keepsakes by Nicoleta recommend protecting them from prolonged exposure to high temperature or direct sunlight. In the event of contact with water, it should be dried promptly with a soft, smooth cloth. To maintain its natural softness, we recommend treating leather with a neutral leather-care product.
Servicing Your Keepsake Jewellery
To bestow your keepsake with a very special and personal note, Keepsakes by Nicoleta offer engraving of names, or numbers/dates up to 13 characters including spaces.
Note – not every keepsake item can be personalised. Please contact us if you’re not sure if the desired keepsake can be personalised or not.
